Theresa Thu Nguyen

On Wednesday, August 20, 2025, Theresa Thu Nguyen, loving wife, mother, sister, and aunt, passed away in Los Angeles, California after a four-year battle with cancer.  Theresa is known for her strong spirit, love of family, energy, compassion, strong work ethic, enthusiasm for life, and unwavering faith in God.  

Theresa’s journey from a war-torn Vietnam at the age of 8 to her current role as chief HR officer at Blackstone Consulting Inc. is a remarkable story of resilience. Despite the challenges her family faced as immigrants, she excelled academically at Providence HS and Cal State Northridge graduating with honors and built a successful career. With over 20 years of progressive HR leadership, she has positively impacted organizations such as the Los Angeles Times, GE/NBC Universal, Disney and more. She’s known for her achievements, like leading diversity and inclusion efforts and securing funding for hiring and training programs. 

She is survived by three beautiful kids Alexander, Mikala, and Madison; her husband Michael; her mother Cay and brothers Trinh and Hao.
