Oscar René Cruz, nacido el 5 de agosto de 1957 en Guatemala, falleció pacíficamente el 29 de abril de 2025 en Lawndale, California. Fue una persona extraordinaria cuyo legado perdurará a través de su familia y las vidas que marcó a lo largo de su carrera.

Oscar fue un dedicado hombre de familia y emprendedor, conocido por su arduo trabajo y determinación como propietario de “Cruz Aqua Water”. Sus mayores logros fueron su familia y su negocio, ambos profundamente apreciados. Las cualidades que distinguieron a Oscar incluyeron su liderazgo natural y su compromiso de guiar a otros hacia el progreso.

Apasionado del fútbol, Oscar encontró alegría en el juego y compartió ese entusiasmo con quienes lo rodeaban. Su entusiasmo por la vida y dedicación a su familia serán profundamente extrañados por todos quienes lo conocieron.

A Oscar le sobreviven su amada esposa, Iluvina Muñoz; sus hijos, Reno D. Cruz-Betancourt, Jordan Cruz, Selvin Cruz, Gerson Guerra y Fidel Betancourt; así como sus nietos, Khalia Cruz, Mila Cruz, Aliana Cruz, Caleb Cruz, Nadia Cruz, Kai Cruz y Jai Cruz.

Le precedió en la muerte Nuria Argentina Cruz-Betancourt, madre querida de Reno, Jordan, y Selvin cuyo recuerdo siempre será recordado junto al suyo.

Se celebrará una misa en memoria de Oscar René Cruz el 7 de mayo de 2025 a las 18:00 h en 8301 Arroyo Dr, Rosemead, CA 91770.

El espíritu de Oscar seguirá inspirando y guiando a quienes dejó atrás, y sus contribuciones a su familia y comunidad jamás serán olvidadas.

Oscar Rene Cruz, born on August 5, 1957, in Guatemala, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025, in Lawndale, California. He was a remarkable individual whose legacy will continue to live on through his family and the lives he touched throughout his career.

Oscar was a devoted family man and entrepreneur, known for his hard work and determination as the owner of “Cruz Aqua Water.” His proudest accomplishments were his family and his business, both of which he cherished deeply. The qualities that set Oscar apart included his natural leadership and a commitment to guiding others towards improvement.

A passionate soccer enthusiast, Oscar found joy in the game and shared that enthusiasm with those around him. His zest for life and dedication to his family will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

Oscar is survived by his beloved spouse, Iluvina Muñoz; his sons, Reno D. Cruz-Betancourt, Jordan Cruz, Selvin Cruz, Gerson Guerra, and Fidel Betancourt; as well as his grandchildren, Khalia Cruz, Mila Cruz, Aliana Cruz, Caleb Cruz, Nadia Cruz, Kai Cruz, and Jai Cruz.

He was preceded in death by Nuria Argentina Cruz-Betancourt, loving mother of Reno, Jordan, and Selvin whose memory will always be cherished alongside his.

A Mass in memory of Oscar Rene Cruz will be held on May 7, 2025, at 6:00 PM, at 8301 Arroyo Dr, Rosemead, CA 91770.

Oscar's spirit will continue to inspire and guide those he left behind, and his contributions to his family and community will never be forgotten.
