Lawrence Aven Hobson Jr.

Lawrence “Larry” Aven Hobson Jr., of Lancaster, passed away on August 21, 2024. Born September 9, 1953, in Sacramento, California, to the late Evelyn Mae Hobson.Larry was a beloved son, husband, father, and grandfather. A Vietnam Veteran, he served in the U.S. Air Force and went on to have a successful career in logistics at Edwards Air Force Base, retiring on May 15, 2023. He was known for his hard work, humor, and passion for his family.He is survived by his daughter, Trista Hobson, and three grandchildren, Devin, Brynna, and Brielle. He is also survived by his siblings, Sharon Roberts and Rodney Hobson.Larry’s service will be held on September 9, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at Mumaw Cremation and Burial Service, 44663 Date Ave, Lancaster, CA 93534. The burial will follow at Eternal Valley, 23287 Sierra Hwy, Newhall, CA 91321. A celebration of life will be at My Grandma's place immediately following the burial at 5pm.
