Josefina took her final bow - unafraid and with an open heart.
Josefina Morales Bribiesca passed peacefully from this life the night of April 10th after a gradual decline in health. In her final days, her affectionate family gathered around her, offering comfort and support. When Josie passed, her son Ernie and her daughter-in-law Silvia, both caregivers, were by her side.
Josie was born in Guanajuato, Mexico on March15,1933, and relocated to the United States when she was 21 years old where she lived the remainder of her life in East Los Angeles, California. Josie built a life defined by devotion. She was a devoted daughter, sister, and wife to her late husband Tómas, and an ever so proud and guiding Mother to her four children and two granddaughters. Josie was a devoted cook, and the dinner table was always a place of laughter and love. She was devoted to her Catholic faith and a woman of prayer. Josie was a devoted Angelino, and she chose to become a naturalized citizen, this choice was a priceless gift that she did for herself.
Josie is survived by her four children and their spouses: Rigoberto; Patricia and her husband, Gregory Thomas; Danny Thomas; Ernest and his wife, Silvia; and two granddaughters: Mia Patricia and Lea Marie. Josie was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Hernandez Bribiesca; brother Carlos Morales; and sister Sara Zuniga.
Our Mom Josie was a woman of beauty, strength, and grace, and lived 93 years as a force of nature, and we will always miss her. The highest tribute we can give to her and those who have preceded us is not grief but gratitude. May God be with you /Vaya con Dios.
