James Wendell Harris, age 81 of Anaheim, CA, passed away on September 18th 2024.Wendell was born in Charleston, SC, on September 28 1942. As a young man he was fascinated by electronics, to which he devoted the first half of his life. He was a man of many talents, he loved eclectic music, reading, learn anything new, and in his spare time you could find him building a computer, building solar panels, and hours tinkering with electronics. He spent the second half of his life in agriculture, raising numerous crops, as well as ducks. As with everything he did, he was as successful in his farming as he was in electronics.
He joined the Air Force immediately after high school, took a break to have and raise his first three children, then went on to have a successful life in his beloved Navy. He did well, as usual, and was able to gain some of the highest certifications in his chosen field of electronics.
Most importantly was his devotion to the Lord, and he took solace in knowing the Lord was watching over him and his loved ones. He was rarely without his Bible and studied it constantly, continuing his lifelong love of learning.Wendell will be missed for his sense of humor, his laugh and the love of his family and of life.
He is survived by his loving wife Tia Ngo. He is father to Cordel Harris, Renee Seavey, Michele Porter, and step-father to Huy Nguyen. His grandchildren are Alexandria Heybey, Colin Porter, Grace Nguyen, Faith Nguyen, and he was great-grandfather to Genevieve Heybey. He is also survived by his sister Patricia Egelhoff.
Although thoughtful, flowers are not necessary. (Dad's not fussy like that!)
